Miles Davis 70s & 80s Fusion Band

A special evening dedicated to the world jazz great, trumpeter Miles Davis. The evening will be divided into two parts: the first part will feature music from one of Miles Davis’s most famous albums, Kind of blue, from 1959. This timeless musical gem will be presented by an exclusive line-up of Brno jazzmen under the name Kind of Blue: Miroslav Hloucal – trp; Petr Kalfus – sax; Jiří Šimek – g; Jakub Zitko – keys; Jakub Vejnar – b; Daniel Šoltis – dr; Michito Sanchez – perc. In the second part of the evening, the Miles Davis 70s & 80s Fusion Band will perform a concert of Davis’s music from the 70s and 80s, playing a selection of songs from the albums On the Corner, Live Evil and Get Up with It – recalling the electrifying sound of the then emerging jazz-rock fusion scene.
