The 9th International Jazz Fruit Contest will feature three finalists from among the most talented young jazz bands from all over Europe. The evening will end with the phenomenal The Rad Trads from New York! Killer driving grooves, infectious melodies and myriad moods—this is the jazz-rock group The Rad Trads from New York in a nutshell. With their unmistakable punk energy, however, they do not hesitate to spice things up with blues or other genres. They are mainly having fun and you can definitely tell! No boredom guaranteed. When The Rad Trads formed in the spring of 2012, they were making rent playing their crazy 4-hour gigs in every bar in New York and Brooklyn that would have them. Six years later, they dominate every club with their punk-rock energy, showmanship and four captivating lead vocalists. The band is slated to release their new, second LP this Spring. The record is highly anticipated in its creative direction and sound. In Prague, The Rad Trads will close the finale of Jazz Fruit, our international jazz band contest. The winner gets to record a professional studio album. Prick up your ears in Jazz Dock on Wednesday, April 11!
