The Cotton Gang & Alice Bauer
Sunday Dixie
The band was formed at the end of the last century on the school benches of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University. They play the joyful music of American jazz bands of the 1920s and 1930s – the turbulent era of Prohibition. The music works as both listening and dance music, especially today, when traditional jazz is making a comeback in swing dance halls, enticing couples with its exuberance to do daredevil dance stunts.
