Tara Fuki

Tara Fuki’s music is racy and unique, based on improvisations which are continually elaborated, delicately dynamic and rich in expression. Enriched by reflections of diverse musical styles with the flavor of distant lands, creating a kaleidoscope of the feminine inner world. Their songs for two wooden bodies are interlaced by the caressing sounds of the Polish language to create a fragile web of tones which, by the wave of a bow, can change into a dangerous trap. Like dreams, their music can gently touch and soothe, but also hurt in its brutal intensity. Since 2000, Tara Fuki has been successful performing in concerts across Europe. The first Czech band ever to showcase at WOMEX (2007 in Sevilla). Yelke Van Laer in the Belgian magazine Folk #3 writes: “A beautiful entirety it is for sure, crowned with beautiful vocals.”
