Rudolf Antonin

Rudolf Antonín is Jiří Slavík’s new project, in which he plays piano and sings. Repertoire of this group derives from original transcriptions of songs played by the R. A. Dvorsky Orchestra in the thirties and early forties, when all popular music was strongly connected with dance.

Even though the main musical source of this band comes from the past, musicians from Rudolf Antonín are not trying to strictly immitate a given style, but to bring the old sound into the present context, so that its original form would still somehow be respected.
