Roman Pokorny, who regularly collaborates with international musicians, has invited this year the outstanding Canadian pianist David Restivo. Restivo has recorded and performed with top world musicians including Dave Holland, Jon Hendricks, Kenny Wheeler, John Abercrombie, Jerry Bergonzi, Mel Tormé, John Parelli, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Pat LaBarber, Carla Bley, Steve Swallow, George Garzone, Howard Johnson, Christine Jensen, Kevin Mahogany, Randy Bachman (BTO/The Guess Who), David Clayton Thomas and Molly Johnson—to name but a few! His home band was Rob McConnell's big band Boss Brass with Ed Bickert. The result of the tour should be a new duo album that will be recorded in Sono studio.
