Roaring Wild Cats
Jazz On The Roof
We’re bringing you a special series of open air summer concerts on the roof of the Jazz Dock! Every Saturday at 4 p.m.
„Wild energy and sweet cuddlines of the Roaring Twenties.“
You can look forward to an explosively energetic burst of optimism, creativity and improvisation of black compositions in contrast to the dreamy and tender softness represented by the sweet naivety of white female singers. The band delivers a unique listening and visual experience, given by a combination of a convincing and informed period interpretation of the compositions using the instruments and clothing of the era. Their name refers both to the Roaring Twenties itself and specifically to the song Wild Cat Blues written by Clarence Williams. The compositions he created or interpreted are a key component of the Roaring Wild Cats band´s repertoire. The band is composed of experienced and expertly recognized musicians, awarded with prizes from traditional jazz festivals and competitions, but still remaining modest, working hard to improve, winning the hearts of listeners all over Europe.
