Point of Few

"Super-tuneful, as well as pulsating..." - JazzWise magazine
“Point of Few works like a painstakingly coordinated machine.” - Allaboutjazz.com
Point of Few is a new Czech instrumental quartet organically combining electronics with contemporary jazz. Their music has an exceptionally fresh and original sound. It’s colorful, adventurous and as changeable as the current times. The band used the ensuing pandemic-influenced period to experiment and find their own path and sound, resulting in a strikingly mature debut album, Open to Closeness. For the album, the band invited a guest of the highest caliber: New York keyboardist and sound wizard Jason Lindner, who can be heard on David Bowie's last iconic album Blackstar, and in the bands of Donny McCaslin or Mark Guiliana. The album was released on CD and digitally in April 2022 on Bivak Records and has received positive reviews across Europe, the UK and the USA. The band has also released two music videos—one starring a professional actor and the other visually experimental—has created original, sustainable merch and has run a successful crowdfunding campaign.
