Otto Hejnic Trio – New CD release
The great Otto Hejnic Trio is slowly but surely becoming one of the mainstays of the Czech-Slovak jazz scene, mainly because it has been performing in the same line-up for 13 years. Slovak pianist Ondrej Krajňák excels on piano, Josef Fečo on double bass and Otto Hejnic on drums. Yes, the three musical personalities connect traditional jazz, based on the music of Oscar Peterson, but venture into the more modern waters of jazz, as evidenced by the trio’s original music, especially that of drummer Otto Hejnic. Such is their latest, fifth album, released by the prestigious label Hevhetia, which will be baptized in Jazz Dock.
Ondrej Krajňák – p; Josef Fečo – db; Otto Hejnic – dr.
