Miramundo (ESP/IT/BRA/MEX)

The Carioca-Japanese-Portuguese-Italian songwriter, Luiz Murá, left Brazil with the dream of finding musical connections between his homeland and other countries around the world. It was in Barcelona that he met violinist Agostino Aragno from Italy, vocalist Desirée Garcia Miras from Spain and contrabassist Ernesto Vargas from Mexico. They all found the perfect environment to put their dreams to the test: Moroccan gimbris, Italian singers, Flamenco dancers, Brazilian sambistas, Irish fiddles, Senegalese djembes, Russian bayans, Mexican mariachis and Romanian gypsies, all unconsciously performing the same song with a new sound and flavor. This became the core of Miramundo’s path: connecting seemingly different cultures through music.
