Mahan Mirarab

The music of Mahan Mirarab speaks an honest language. He merges European chamber music with contemporary jazz, thereby creating a unique interpretation of Iranian classical music. As a representative of a new generation of migrant musicians in Europe, he expands the sonic boundaries of the music industry and advocates for more diversity and quality. His goal is to present Middle Eastern cultures and jazz in a new narrative style. His compositions reflect a rich musical vocabulary and a deep knowledge of various styles. Jazz, for him, is not just music but a philosophy embodying identity and solidarity. He brings strong influences from his cultural background and, through the philosophy of jazz, finds his own voice to transcend traditional conventions. In 2022, he performed in over 70 concerts worldwide and released his latest album Say Your Most Beautiful Word.
