Limbo
Limbo, a group united around saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Pavel Hruby, has recently presented a new album Details, released by the Polí5 label. On a jazz foundation, this unusually cast quartet constructs a universal musical collage. Improvisation, composition, communication and cosmopolitanism intersect here in a distinctive way, without any boundaries that would limit the musicians' expression. Limbo can be said to produce music that is simple and communicative, yet artfully played. The band is not interested in trends, they go their own way with a clear and distinct opinion. Their main inspiration from jazz history is the legendary Art Ensemble of Chicago.
