Kristina Barta Quartet

Kristina Bárta is an internationally renowned composer and pianist. She released her debut album EMA29 in Austria, as she did with her current album Love and Passion. Bárta has won several international awards and she is holder of the coveted OSA Award for the best Czech jazz composition of 2016. Her quintet Event Horizon played at Jazzahead! 2021 in Bremen, the biggest world jazz fair and showcase festival. She is currently performing with her quartet, with which she will present a new repertoire supplemented by compositions from her latest album, Love and Passion: "Kristina Bárta comes with a fresh message from the Czech jazz scene. The album contains extensive compositions with original textures, which are often counterpoint layered and harmoniously difficult. Kristina Bárta walks her own distinctive path.
