Kristina Barta – Project Event Horizon

Kristina Barta is a Czech composer and pianist. After studying classical music and composition at the Prague Conservatory, she graduated from the Academy of Music Arts in Prague, specializing in jazz piano. She has won many international competitions: Krokus Jazz Festival 2017 in Poland, OSA composer's competition, and Jazz Prix 2015, to name a few. EMA29, her debut album was released in 2017 on the Austrian label Alessa Records. Project Kristina Barta Event Horizon plays contemporary creative jazz, reflecting her earlier classical music studies with an emphasis on melodies and emotions. The female element with a strong men’s band always promises an interesting interaction from all the musicians: Kristina Barta – piano, keys; Nela Dusová – saxophones; Kryštof Tomeček – guitar; Jan Fečo – bass; Marek Urbánek – drums.
