Kratochvíl/Ackerman/Zangi
The Kratochvil/Ackerman/Zangi group has been a staple of the Czech jazz scene since the mid-1980’s. Czech jazz-rock legend Kratochvil returns to the acoustic piano, Ackerman plays 7-string guitar with eclectic roots in blues and folk, and the father/son team of Musa and Filip Zangi brings in an awesome array of world percussion instruments. Their fresh, improvised music brings together many styles and reflects the diverse origins of the quartet (USA, Czech Republic, Iran), (p; g; perc).
