Kaunis Five (CZ/SK)

Despite his young age, Slovakian trumpet player Lukáš Oravec has a respectable education and experience with numerous big names of Czech and European jazz—just like the other leader of the Kaunis Five, saxophonist Ondřej Štveráček. Both are contemporary mainstream players rooted in hard-bop and will be accompanied by pianist Luboš Šrámek, bass player Tomáš “Kaštan” Baroš and drummer Marián Ševčík.
