Kaunis Five (CZ/SK)

Despite his young age, the 25-year-old Slovakian trumpet player Lukáš Oravec has a respectable education and experience with numerous names of Czech and European jazz. Just like another leader of Kaunis Five – the saxophone player Ondřej Šteráček. They are both contemporary mainstream players rooted in the hard-bop generation. The main brass interpreters will be accompanied by the pianist Luboš Šrámek, the bass player Tomáš “Kaštan” Baroš and the drummer Marián Ševčík.
