A Justin Lavash concert is always an intensely engaging experience. He draws from the rawest roots of the blues, but thanks to his constant flirtation with other forms, he transcends the genre by a long way. He is an English virtuoso guitarist with a well-worn voice who has worked with many top names in the Czech Republic and beyond (Lenka Dusilová, Vladimír Merta, Monika Načeva). He typically performs solo, so this trio show is a rare chance to hear him backed by two excellent musicians who have impressive musical credentials in their own right. Keyboardist and trio producer/arranger Robert Vašíček has spent many years playing in Prague and Los Angeles, where he befriended fellow Czech and drummer extraordinaire Roman Lomtadze (Čechomor, Arakain, Scars on Broadway). This formation brings out the rockier side to Lavash’s compositions and the trio filled the venue on their last appearance here in 2021.

This concert will be a “christening” of their new vinyl “E-Train” (also available on all streaming and downloading platforms). Christening duties will be performed by Dan Reed (Dan Reed Network).
