Josef Kolo 7tet

Josef Kolo 7tet is paradoxically a quartet of leading Czech and Slovak jazz players who show their inclination to humor and avantgarde in their music. The sound of this formation without harmonic instruments rises from a diffusion of polyphonic lines of two tenorsaxophones (Petr Kalfus + Marcel Bárta) and the interaction of a peculiar rhythmic section performed by doublebass player Rasťo Uhrik and drummer Dano Šoltis. Their music is partly composed but mainly improvised. This creates space for each and every concert to be an unrepeatable musical experience (ts,ts,b,dr).
