Jiří Slavík - Marian Friedl - křest CD "Mateřština" (Mother Tongue)

On his new album MATEŘŠTINA (Mother Tongue), which came out at the end of 2016 on the Animal Music label, multi-instrumentalist Jiří Slavík returns to his childhood, when his father introduced him to music. With the help of his lifetime friend and multi-instrumentalist Marian Friedl he revisits his cultural roots and through his own compositions or arrangements recycles elements from local musical traditions. The repertoire of this album further consists of several works by other composers, including Marian Friedl, Slavík’s father and the legend of Moravian folklore Fanoš Mikulecký.
