JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA
Meets the Blues

Since the early days of jazz, the blues has been at the very heart of big band music. For their July concert, Jazz Dock Orchestra will play repertoire from some of the major influences in jazz and big band music, entirely based on the 12-bar blues form. The programme will include classics from Count Basie's "Chairman of the Board" album, Ellington's "Far East Suite", the soul-blues of Oliver Nelson, and the complex, rhythm writing of Thad Jones.

The JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA has been Jazz Dock’s flagship band from the beginning of its successful operation, featuring seventeen concerts with its own repertoire and compositions by the world's great authors. During this time, the big band has played intensively, gaining a regular audience and boldly traversing its fourth year of existence.

Admission: seating CZK 480, standing CZK 270. There is no need to reserve a seat when purchasing a seating ticket.
