JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA

For our January concert, JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA will be led by leading Austrian conductor Hannes Oppel, bringing scores from the amazing big band repertoire of the prominent American composer/arranger Bill Holman, who wrote music for many of the great big bands, such as the Stan Kenton Orchestra, Buddy Rich Big Band, Count Basie Orchestra, Charlie Barnet Orchestra and his own Bill Holman Big Band. He was also an arranger for prominent world jazz personalities such as Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Natalie Cole, Maynard Ferguson, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, Sarah Vaughan and many others! In addition to this great world repertoire, we will hear compositions by our composers and leaders of JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA by Jan Jirucha and Andy Schofield.
