Four guys, four nationalities come together for one purpose: Groove. Groningen based psychedelic jazz band dedicates their music to all the lost souls, losers, and slackers. Kuhn Fu is a multinational Jazz/Rock Band founded in Groningen in 2012 by former students of the Prins Claus Conservatory. The music is written by german composer/guitarist Christian Kuhn, the melodic work is done by Israeli bass clarinetist Ziv Taubenfeld and the rhythm section is driven by Serbian drummer Lav Kovac and Turkish bassist Esat Ekincioglu. Heavy grooves, a wide dynamic range and lyrical melodies are the key elements of their music. Influences range from from 70s rock music to Duke Ellington to Peter Brötzmann, which gives the music a unique balance between postrock/noise, bluesy cliches and free improvisation (g,bcl,b,dr).
