Femi Temowo Quartet (UK/CZ)

Femi Temowo is a MOBO Award nominated musician, exmusicmate of Amy Winehouse who was raised listening to West African pioneers such as Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey. Later he discovered the legendary Charlie Parker and classic jazz albums such as Miles Davis’ ‘Kind Of Blue’

Femi’s latest project Orin Meta, sees him in a Quintet setting where he is currently experimenting with Nigerian folk sounds and jazz song form. He will be accompanied by excellent Czech rhytmic section: Petr Dvorský – db, Jiří Slavíček – d and young singer and percussionist Lenka Novotná (voc,g,b,dr,perc).
