Jakub Tököly Trio
The leading Slovak pianist will play in Jazz Dock for the first time with his quintet. Jakub Tőkőly is the most significant successor to the generation of jazz pianists in Slovakia. His playing is influenced by the impression of Duke Ellington, the expression of Thelonius Monk, the piano art of Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock, but also European classical music, especially the music of Alexander Scriabin, Claude Debussy—and also Romani folklore.
