GROOVE DOCK – JAZZ TO DANCE

April, we'll be at Groove Dock again! The next edition of the energetic jazz-dance event is here, this time with our resident Mr. Ultrafino and his guests – veteran of the London DJ scene Tris Kayo and Brazilian percussionist Dudu Morais. From swing over bebop, hardbop, latino, fusion, acid jazz to contemporary club sound.

Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experiences. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.

Tris Kayo – Tris learnt his trade in London, playing wide variety of styles from hip hop and funk to jungle and jazz. His set could be heard in clubs in the UK, France, Monako, where he was offered a radio show or at festivals, such as Gilles Peterson Worldwide. Tris is currently restarting he DJing and vinyl collecting in his Prague Relish the Sound record shop.

Dudu Morais – Brazilian percussion player from Rio de Janeiro. He has been playing in Brasil with many artists from traditional to modern music. Arrived in Praha 1st time 6 years ago with brasilian trio called Loud samba, immediately started playing at Yvonne Sanchez band, afterwards joined salsa orquestras on the Czech mainstream latin world, finally getting into the electronic music playing with many DJs from latino to funky to drum´n´bass to house music.
