JAZZ TO DANCE!

Groove Dock celebrates six years with a great jazz-dance night! Three DJ duets will play and a duo of percussionists with performances by Mr. Ultrafino & Martin Mikuláš, Pocoloco & Orisha (Cabaret Mañana) and Magič & Wavezz.

Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experience. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.

Martin Mikuláš – eclectic in genre DJ, musical collector and promoter has been performing on the DJ scene for more than 10 years. He represents several regular club projects, such as Funkopolis, Danceteria and eStereo programme on Radio 1.

Cabaret Mañana – DJ collective which belongs to the most sought-out acts on the Czech alternative club scene. DJ Pocoloco and DJane Orisha are known to effortlessly combine jazz with Latin rhythms, Afro-Cuban with tropical and brokenbeat styles reaching all the way to modern club production.

Magič & Wavezz – inseparable duo of DJs, producers, collectors and publicists. Their selection ranges from funk, soul and old-school hip-hop to jazz, Latin and afro-beat.

Miloš Vacík – musician, percussionist, composer, music teacher and an accomplished painter. Miloš co-founded and leads several percussion-led ensembles such as Tam-Tam Orchestra and Tam-Tam Batucada, and is a member of the international Gathering of Drummers project.

Papis Nyass – drummer, percussionist, dancer and multi-talented musician born in Gambia. He specializes in African percussions such as conga, bonga, djembe, sabar or marimba and has been a regular co-player with such names as Lenka Dusilová, Ephraim Goldin or Alan Vitouš.
