GROOVE DOCK – JAZZ TO DANCE!

Veteran of the Czech funk-soul scene DJ Maceo, club resident Mr. Ultrafino and Brazilian percussionist Dudu Morais will be the main stars of the August edition of the Groove Dock party!

DJ Maceo – long-established persona of Czech funk-soul DJ scene, who has shared the stage with bands such as Incognito, The Brand New Heavies, Monkey Business and J.A.R. Apart from DJing Maceo is active in radio broadcasting. Starting in 2001 with Groove on Prague’s legendary station Limonadový Joe, he is now one of the creators of Radio Wave’s Sunday soulful session Grundfunk.

Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of the Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experience. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz, but they might just as well be spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.

Dudu Morais – Brazilian percussion player from Rio de Janeiro. He has been playing in Brazil with many artists from traditional to modern music. Arrived in Prague for the first time six years ago with the Brazilian trio Loud Samba, soon after started playing with the Yvonne Sanchez band, later joining salsa orquestras on the Czech Latin scene, and finally getting into electronic music, playing with many DJs from Latin to funky to drum´n´bass to house music.
