GROOVE DOCK – JAZZ TO DANCE

After annual edition in January with phenomenal Perry Louis and February loaded edition with Ohm Square we continue! From swing over bebop, hardbop, latin, fusion, acidjazz to contemporary club sound. Mixed and served exclusively from vinyl with live acts interplay!

DJ Magič 
DJ, producer, collector and musical columnist focused on jazz, funk a latino music in classical and modern forms. He attended DJ, dancer and collector Darell from breakdance 2nd II None formation during his stay in Great Britain. He pays interest on his experiences in his DJ sets and own production released limited on tapes. 

Mr. Ultrafino

Groove Dock resident, co-creator of Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experiences. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre. Mr.Ultrafino founded the only jazzdance club night called Jazz Cookies, where he began to introduce his own production and live collaborations with live musicians and singers. He became a resident of Groove Dock two years ago. A dance club night that gains reputation of one of the best of its kind in Europe. 

Dudu Morais
Brazilian percussion player from Rio de Janeiro. He has been playin in Brasil with many artists from traditional to modern music. Arrived in Praha 1st time 6 years ago with brasilian trio called Loud samba, immediately started playin at Yvonn Sanchez band, afterwards joined salsa orquestras on the Czech mainstream latin world, finally gettin into the electronic music playin with many djs from latin to funky to drumn bass to house music.

GROOVE DOCK: Every second Saturday each month.

Starts 9:30 pm, free admission till 9 pm (not valid for seats),

CZK 100 admission after 10 pm.
