Graduation concert - Barbora Mochowa

A graduate of the College of Jaroslav Ježek (jazz vocal) will perform with her solo project. Barbora's debut album "Waiting for the White Raven" was recently well accepted by critics, naming her a "revelation" on the Czech music scene. The album, produced by Matouš Godík (Bratři Orffové, Floex etc.), will appeal to lovers of lyrical, gently urgent pop as well as fans of film and classical music. For this concert Barbora invited Kvintessence Quartet (string quartet).

Support: The jazz department ensemble from the College of Jaroslav Jezek under the leadership of phenomenal saxophonist Marcel Barta will present students' compositions as well as compositions on the borderline of genres such as jazz, free improvisation and folk. (Bill Frisell, Wayne Shorter, Hermeto Pascoal, Carla Bley, Ornette Coleman and others).
