Gabriel Palatchi Trio (ARG)
Gabriel Palatchi is a great Argentine pianist and composer who studied at prestigious schools (Manuel de Falla Conservatory, Berklee International School in Argentina). During this time, he studied under many great teachers of blues, Tango, jazz and Latin jazz. After graduating in 2008, he packed up his piano and travelled abroad to build upon his musical experiences. It was in Cuba where he met and studied with the world-renowned pianist “Chucho” Valdez. A representation of the many cultures that have influenced him, Gabriel’s music is an original blend of different genres such as Latin jazz, Tango, funk and Middle Eastern. Currently, Gabriel splits his time between Canada, Mexico and Argentina. The Trio has performed at many international music festivals, such as The Vancouver Jazz Festival, The Victoria Jazz Festival, The Sunfest Festival, and The Quebec City Jazz Festival. His new album “Trivolution“ was recorded and released in Mexico City in 2015. Since then, it has received several awards and positive reviews.
