FESTIVAL IBERICA
Alba Molina – Canta A Lole Y Manuel (ESP)

Friday 30/06/2017 from 19:00

Alba Molina’s name remains linked to such diverse artists as Jorge Drexler, Alejandro Sanz, Pedro Guerra, Navajita Plateá, Dorantes, Manuel Molina, Lole Montoya or O´funk’illo, diving into different styles and genres such as pop, bolero, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms, fusion jazz and flamenco.

‘Alba Canta a Lole y Manuel’, as she puts it, ‘probably the most flamenco album I will ever make’, and also, with no doubt, the most personal and heartfelt album in her career.

Alba is in a personal search in this album for the warmth of the cradle, for her music idols, for her professional and personal nourishment, and assumes what will be undoubtedly one of the biggest challenges in her life. A challenge that drives her to choose only eleven songs among all her parents’ records, under the guidelines of her emotions, personal experiences and unique memories. This is an album with only voice and guitar, brave, natural and unpretentious, out of respect and humility, faithful to the old recordings of Lole and Manuel. On guitar, José Acedo, an admirer and a scholar of the guitar playing of the ‘maestro’ Manuel Molina, in love with his spontaneity, humility and his unique Triana beat.

The repertoire unites different generations by an invisible thread that weaves through skin, ears and heart: magic arises.

Admission seating CZK 300, standing CZK 200.
