Erik Truffaz ranks at the top of European jazz, having made nearly 20 albums and establishing himself worldwide. Born in Switzerland and living in France, this trumpeter, nicknamed the "Miles Davis of acid jazz", combines with his quartet jazz experiments, drum’n’bass and hip-hop. This year marks 20 years since Erik Truffaz’ cult album Bending New Corners was released on Blue Note. The recording, influenced by hiphop and drum’n’bass, was a huge success at the time and influenced several generations of musicians. On the twentieth anniversary of the album, Erik Truffaz brought together the original line-up and decided to play a limited number of concerts with music from this album! One of the stops of the tour will be Jazz Dock, and this is a truly unique opportunity to see the Bending New Corners project, including Nya rapper, together on one stage. You may never get another chance to see this group with this line-up at Jazz Dock, so don’t miss the unique sound of these legendary musicians!
