The Poznań-based traditional jazz formation Dixie Company has been participating in hundreds of festivals and concerts in Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Latvia, Germany, Slovakia, the United States and Switzerland for almost three decades. He is also the originatorand co-organizer of the Poznań Old Jazz Festival, which was attended by, among others, the legendary clarinetist Mr Acker Bilk, and the English trumpeter Kenny Ball. The festival guests were also artists from Australia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, Israel, Germany, Slovakia, Great Britain, Ukraine and the USA. Dixie Company is also the author of six albums, including CDs with American vocalists Diane Davidson and Donna Brown. The high level of the Poznań band is evidenced by their three-time stay in the USA, where they performed in Toledo, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica, and at the world's largest festival of traditional jazz in Sacramento, California. It was in the capital of California that the Dixie Company and Diane Davidson met. For the next three years they performed at the Sacramento Music Festival. In 2015, they played at the largest in Europe 45 Internationales Dixieland Festival Dresden, and then in Switzerland at the Jazz Am See festival. In August 2017, they performed at the legendary studio named after Krzysztof Komeda of the Polish Radio Poznań on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the station and as part of the "nine concerts for nine decades" series. In May this year they played at the jubilee 50 Internationales Dixieland Festival Dresden, as the only representatives of Poland among 40 formations from 11 countries.
