Daniel Bulatkin Quintet ft. Cyrille Oswald (RU/CZ/NL)
Daniel Bulatkin is the youngest professional jazz musician on the Czech scene. At only 20 years old, he has already collaborated with greats the likes of Ulf Wakenius, Gary Husband, Gergo Borlai, Justin Faulkner and Tineke Postma. Currently, his band focuses on original music of all its members, which reflects both respect to jazz tradition, and interest in a wide spectrum of other musical genres (African and Latin-American rhythms, classical and cinematic music...). The quartet is currently touring in a new line-up, which connects a young rhythm section and experienced Dutch saxophonist Cyrille Oswald. Their current repertoire is the program from their upcoming album Drifter Days, which they recorded after a successful tour with British sax phenomenon Tom Smith.
Daniel Bulatkin – p & fender rhodes; Max Makagonov – db; Petr Nohavica – dr; Cyrille Oswald – tenor & soprano sax.
