Charlie Slavík Revue & Steve Walsh – 50th Birthday Party
Charlie Slavík is the most reputable harp player in the Czech Republic—the only Czech musician to participate in the prestigious international blues contest IBC in Memphis, where he made it all the way to the semi-finals. His ability to use the harp across all genres is well documented on a number of records to which he contributed as a soloist. With his new project, The Charlie Slavík Revue, he introduces the blues to European audiences—that is, every shade of the Blues, uncompromisingly pulsating in its authentic form with an unrestrained energy. It is presented in a unique way, all the while slightly skimming related genres such as soul, swing and do-wop. Charlie Slavík is an endorsee of the German firm Seydel, the oldest harp manufacturer in the world. Guitarist, Steve Walsh lives in Prague via Nashville and New York City where he performed as a member of Grammy-nominated bassist Viktor Krauss's band and the legendary Brooklyn Boogaloo Blowout.
