Chanda Rule and Sweet Emma Band (USA/CZ/AT/UK)
JAZZ OF FOUR CONTINENTS
With feet rooted in gospel, a heart filled with soul, and a voice touched with jazz, singer and songwriter Chanda Rule has been weaving stories through song, humming melodies, and bending words since her childhood. With the Sweet Emma Band, Chanda Rule goes to the very roots of her soul, mixing Southern work songs, spirituals, traditional songs from Africa and NU GROOVES. Recently, the band collectively produced and recorded new songs, which will be released by the end of 2022. The international band consists of top players in the field of the Blues, Jazz and Gospel music. Hammond organist Jan Korinek (CZ) has been spreading joy for the last 25 years, performing with his projects and international artists, such as George Freeman, Chick Willis, Sharon Lewis, Chris Cain and many others. Trombonist, producer and music lover Paul Zauner (AT) never gives less than everything he has each time he takes the stage. He has performed and recorded with many jazz and blues greats, such as Gregory Porter, Dwight Trible, Jean Toussaint, Kirk Lightsey and others. Coming from Wales, saxophonist Osian Roberts, who has been performing around the world for more than a quarter of a century, is essential for the Sweet Emma Band with his tasteful bluesy-bebop solos. Soulful drummer Oliver Lipenský is the newest member of the Sweet Emma Family.
