Chalupski/Slash

Václav Chalupský is a composer, pianist and guitarist currently based in Prague. In 2019, he made his independent debut with the album Vortex, recorded at the DON Theatre in Tábor. His new work is based on piano improvisations for contemporary dance, complemented with synthesizers and loops on electric guitar.

Adela Slash is a composer and singer who draws on the foundations of folk music in her compositions, but shifts the songs into a progressive modern form. By layering her voices right in front of the audience, she uses her loopstation to create an atmosphere of distant, natural scenery, taking us away into dreamy images. In the spring of 2022, she released her debut album Laštovka, which features six original songs and one folk song from Slovakia, which is also the first single entitled Morena. She performs both as a duo with Tomas Kerl and with a multi-member band.
