JAZZ ON THE ROOF

We’re bringing you a special series of open air summer concerts on the roof of the Jazz Dock! Every Saturday.

From many years of cooperation between Martin Jůzl and Antonín Šturma grew a desire to spice up the two-piece ensemble with vocals—and the beautiful, colorful voice of Kateřina Vacková was the dream come true. Now the trio has been in existence for a year and their repertoire consists of newly selected jazz standards. As the name implies, the line-up focuses on calm and moody songs. Kateřina, hailing from Eastern Bohemia, is a student at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. You can also see her in the bands Uthando and Blue Igloo. Martin comes from Cheb. He studied classical trumpet in Prague at the conservatory and today works in various jazz bands, such as the Jazz Dock Orchestra, Bohemia After Dark Project and others. Antonín has been playing string instruments since he was six years old. He started with the violin, continued with classical guitar and now plays double bass and bass. He is a busy musician who cooperates with various professional groups: Vano Bamberger & Band, Golden Big Band Prague, OPSO, Hana Robinson and many others.

Admission: CZK 200, children under 15 years free, seniors over 65 years 20% discount. It is not possible to book specific seats for this concert.

In case of bad weather, the concert will take place inside the club.
