JAZZ ON THE ROOF

We’re bringing you a special series of open air summer concerts on the roof of the Jazz Dock! Every Saturday at 4 p.m.

From many years of cooperation between Martin Jůzl and Jakub Duša there was a desire to spice up the two-piece ensemble with vocal. The beautiful colorful voice of the young singer Kateřina Vacková was a great choice. The trio has been in existence for one year and the repertoire consists of currently selected jazz standards. As the name implies, the line-up focuses on calm and moody songs. Kateřina Vacková comes from Eastern Bohemia. She is a student at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. You can also see her in the bands Uthando or Blue Igloo. Martin Jůzl comes from Cheb. He studied classical trumpet in Prague at the conservatory, but today he works more in jazz bands, such as the Jazz Dock Orchestra, Bohemia After Dark Project or Miss Mikey May. Jakub Duša grew up in a musical family. His father Aleš is a bass guitarist. He studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory under Peter Binder and David Dorůžka. He has collaborated, for example, with Rostislav Fraš, Elena Sonenshine or Tonya Graves.

Admission: CZK150, children under 15 years free, seniors over 65 years 20% discount. It is not possible to book specific seats for this concert.

The concert will take place inside the club in case of bad weather.

According to the order of the government of the Czech Republic, entry to the concert is limited by valid regulations. We ask each spectator to present a confirmation at the entrance to the club that he/she has been vaccinated, tested negatively (self-test is enough), or that he/she has already contracted Covid-19 in the last 180 days. Another option is to sign a solemn declaration at entry that the person has a valid test certificate. Thank you for your understanding!
