Alan Wykpisz - double bass player, bass player, composer, improviser, teacher. Graduate of the academies of music in Krakow and Katowice, winner of competitions such as Jazz Hoeilaart in 2011, Bass Copenhagen in 2012 and Jazz Nad Odrą in 2015. He has performed at festivals in Kuwait, Qatar, Spain, USA, Canada, Belgium, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and India. He has been nominated for the prestigious FRYDERYK music award several times. He has performed with Janusz Muniak, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman, Aga Zaryan, Adam Pierończyk, Grzegorz Karnas, Anna Gadt and Michał Urbaniak. He is the leader of his own band "The Alan Wykpisz Project", co-creating such formations as the High-Definition Quartet, Mateusz Gawęda Trio, Eskaubei & Tomek Nowak Quartet, Paweł Kaczmarczyk Trio, Cracov Jazz Collective, Vehemence Quartet, and the Natalia Kordiak Quintet – to name but a few!
