Otto Hejnic Organism ft. Brian Charette/Osian Roberts/Michito Sanchez
Otto Hejnic Organism is another project of the great drummer Otto Hejnic. He invited two excellent bandmates to collaborate, the fantastic organist from New York Brian Charette, whose star is still rising, as evidenced by collaborations with such personalities as Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Chaka Khan, Cyndi Lauper, Oz Noy, Vinnie Colaiuta, John Patitucci. And the Welsh tenor saxophonist Osian Roberts, who you can hear on recordings with George Mráz, Cedar Walton, or Peter Washington. The line-up will be completed by the excellent Los Angeles percussionist Michito Sanchez, whose services are used by such stars as Herbie Hancock, the Rolling Stones, or Elton John.
The concert will include songs from the debut album, which is called Beringia, but also the repertoire from the forthcoming album, which promises the classic sound of hammonds, electronic beats, modern jazzand Latin rhythms.
